Since the lockdown has been imposed across Nigeria, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) hasn't been able to do much things as regarding 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
But with much developments in the country, the board has been making some moves as regarding 2020 admission.
Recall that before the nationwide lockdown, the board hasn't released the 2020 admission cut off marks.
And it is worthy to note that for all candidates to be able to get admission into his/her of institution, the cut off marks are very important.
This is an annual and regular event for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) as this is one of the requirements for her candidates to gain admission into any institution in Nigeria.
However, in a briefing held today Tuesday, 16th of June, 2020, the board has announced her minimum admission cut off marks for 2020.
This minimum cut off marks will stand as a criteria for all 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates for their respective admissions.
This announcement was made by the National JAMB Registrar, Ish'aq Oloyede.
The board has therefore announced 160 and above as the general cut off mark for admission into all Universities in Nigeria as a whole for the 2020/2021 academic session.
The Registrar of the board, Ish'aq Oloyede, made this announcement today Tuesday, 16th of June, 2020 at the 2020 Policy Meeting on admissions to tertiary institutions which was held virtually due to the nationwide lockdown.

And as the norm is, each institution will conduct a screening exercise for her applicants all across the nation, and as such, there is a fee attached to such exercise.
The board, through the Registrar, has thus announced that no institution in the nation should charge more than N2,000.
