In the recent battle in edo state between Governor Obaseki and the party chairman Mr oshiomole which caused the Governor his second time by being disqualified for running a second time as governor of edo state
Remember that Obaseki visited the Governor of Cross River State Governor Wike, where they had a closed discussion, in which later led to the rumour that Obaseki will deflect to PDP
It's strongly believed that Governor Wike a man with precision, had stepped in for Governor Obaseki, by helping him to take steps into talking with the PDP chairman, so he could be the the one they will hand over as Aspirant to run for the Governorship Election under PDP.
It was later discovered that Obaseki once again visited President Buhari, in which they had a discussion on how they could resolve the issue in Edo State which might have resulted into the actions that has been taken against Oshiomole.

Remember that Oshiomole was suspended in March 4th but he went for an appeal but Oshiomole who might have had something to do with how the primary election outcome in the party had not favour Obaseki was Suspended by the appeal courthouse in Abuja on Tuesday 16th June.
